Treasurer
The Treasurer coordinates the Association’s participation in the UniServ Unit’s Local Association Bookkeeping Procedures; has official custody of all Association funds, and maintains a checking account in the name of the Association in an institution insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation;
The treasurer is also responsible for paying all bills as authorized in the Association budget or at the direction of the Board of Directors, collecting all dues, and transmitting dues to the UniServ Unit, the VEA, and the NEA in accordance with appropriate contracts or policies.
The treasurer makes financial reports to meetings of the Board of Directors, develops the Association budget to be considered by the Budget Committee and the Board of Directors; and performs such other duties as may be appropriate to the position.
